PhD

The Industrial Chemistry and Chemical Engineering PhD has been established to prepare high-profile professionals, and takes place along a path integrating teaching, research, technology and innovation.

The research activity is coordinated by a supervisor and has the goal to develop an original contribution to research by means of a Doctorate Thesis. The goal of the doctorate work is to provide students with the necessary tools to understand, plan and manage processes and systems, but above all to acquire the ability to develop new applications and processes dedicating his skills to the service of the development of society.

The professional figure of the Industrial Chemistry and Chemical Engineering PhD, beyond the characteristics of the Master Degree engineer, has the ability to autonomously conduct applied research projects and to organize their operational activities. Thus, the PhD will be prepared to face industrial careers close to the technological state-of-the-art and will be able to satisfy the demand that comes from both companies and research institutions (which demand highly skilled researchers) and universities.
