Chemical Engineering among History and Memories

Politecnico di Milano has estabilished the Chemical Engineering section in 1900, just after the creation of the first Chemical Engineering degree course at the Massachusetts Insitute of Techology (MIT) in 1888.

The history of Chemical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano is crowned with a large number of successes, the most important of which is surely the Nobel Price for Chemistry assigned to Prof. Giulio Natta in 1963 for his pioneering studies on catalysts which allow the stereospecific polymerization of olephines.
